Ndu-bisi Hall’s journey in triathlon began with a lighthearted misunderstanding—he initially thought ‘Iron Man’ was all there was to the sport. Driven by a desire to bring such an event to Tobago, he reached out to Ms Karen Araujo, who introduced him to the rich, multidimensional world of triathlon. From that moment, his passion was ignited, and he became determined to help the sport grow.
In 2022, his club successfully hosted its first triathlon event. Building on that achievement, it played a pivotal role in the Commonwealth Games and has organised annual triathlons ever since. Recognising the importance of nurturing young talent, the club supported Tobago’s first Development Cup and launched a School Series Aquathlon, introducing students to the joys of multisport competition.
Hall’s involvement with the Triathlon Federation has been a transformative experience. Inspired by individuals like Miss Araujo, he pursued personal growth through a community course, a Level 1 Coaching Course, and earned the honor of being part of the coaching staff for the Carifta team 2024. Today, he proudly serves as a floor member of the federation, working to inspire future generations and establish Tobago as a hub for triathlon.

Karen Araujo has served on the Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Federation Board in many different roles over the past 12 years. She now serves on the Americas Triathlon board in the position of Vice President in charge of Development within the English-speaking Caribbean.
