T&T’s Jenna Ross qualifies for Ironman 70.3 World Championships

Trinidad & Tobago’s very own Jenna Ross has qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in South Africa in September 2018 ! Qualification was based on a fantastic performance at the Ironman 70.3 race in Cozumel, Mexico on September 24th 2017. Placing 1st in category and 13th in gender, her times were as follows:

  • 29:24 for the 1.2 mile swim
  • 2:35:24 for the 56 mile bike ride
  • 1:44:29 for the 13.1 mile run

Ross is Trinidad & Tobago’s National Champion at both the duathlon and triathlon events.   She was nominated for First Citizens Sports Woman of the year in 2015 & 2016 and was the Caribbean Age Group Female Champion in 2016 (she did not enter this year’s event).

A role model for the country’s up and coming triathletes,  Ross will be addressing the Trinidad & Tobago national team for CARIFTA at the next training session on October 1st, 2017.  The training session to be held at the Diego Martin Highway, will be the last group session before the team leaves for Barbados for the inaugural Triathlon & Aquathlon Championships on 7th & 8th October 2017.
