Is your nutrition affecting your performance in training and competition? Do you know what to eat, when, why and how much?

As an athlete continuously pushing the limits of your body on a daily basis, these questions are very relevant. It’s the science of tailored meal plans for rest, low, moderate and high-intensity training and competition.  It focuses on how to get a handle on eating before, during, and after such sessions for your body to adequately fuel and restore itself.

Macronutrients; Carbohydrate, Protein, fats are eaten in large amounts and include the primary building blocks of your diet. They simply provide your body with energy to function and train.

Micronutrients;Vitamins and minerals in small adequate doses daily are essential and provide support for your immune system. 

Without a comprehensive nutritional plan and good daily nutritional habits, development is hampered by being vulnerable to sickness, injury and uncontrolled levels of unnecessary fatigue. Fitness developmental is continuously compromised and challenged. Enthusiasm runs at a low as the nervous system is taxed without support. Variables outside of training may seem insignificant, however, they are all extremely relevant. Nutrition being one which is very essential for your training and racing focus. As well as your overall fitness progression, overall development, short and long term goals.
