Association of Commonwealth Triathlon has a Trinbagonian Board Member

TTTF Executive member Karen Araujo, was nominated to fill one of two positions that were made available on The Association of Commonwealth Triathlon (ACT) Board.

Four very highly qualified and truly deserving women contested the two positions hailing from Australia, Great Britain, Rwanda and of course Trinidad & Tobago. The biographies of all the ladies were quite impressive to say the least.

The members of ACT were all asked to cast their votes ahead of the ACT meeting that took place on Thursday 19 November 2020.

The following highlights the results:

Karen Araujo, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: 14
Michelle Cooper, AUSTRALIA: 12
Debbie Clark, GREAT BRITAIN: 11
Joie Lea, RWANDA: 9

Karen has worked tirelessly over the last 10 years in our beloved sport and deserves all of the recognition that she is being afforded. Her dedication to the sport of triathlon in the region and her drive to see further development is unmeasurable.

This is a win not just for Trinidad and Tobago but the wider Caribbean as well.

We take this time to congratulate Karen on this landmark achievement!
